The majority of the upgrades and the maintenance of central network components have been completed. There are a small number of buildings off-line due to the power work. Some of them may require further attention once power is restored. All other buildings that currently have power should be on-line and the network functioning normally. If you experience any connectivity issues, please try power-cycling the device and try again. Continuing problems should be reported via email to email@example.com
so a trouble ticket is created.

As in years past, the network operations team will be performing software upgrades on Saturday Aug 13 and Sunday Aug 14 in concert with the power work being performed by facilities services.
We will be upgrading the software in the network gear in all buildings on campus, even those not impacted by the power work. Each building will experience a loss of all wired, wireless and voice service that will last approximately 10-15 minutes. These outages will occur in a rolling fashion across campus with most being completed on Saturday Aug 13 between 6AM and noon.
We will also be performing maintenance on some of the central network switches that will cause some brief outages on the wireless and voice networks as redundant systems take over functions from the devices undergoing maintenance. This work will be performed early on Saturday morning and should be complete by 8AM.
This work will not impact the main data centers, firewalls or Internet connections.
While we intend to have this work completed by noon on Saturday Aug 13, we're reserving the entire weekend to complete the work and address any unforeseen issues that may arise. We expect all work to be complete by 7pm on Sunday Aug 14.
