Perimeter Firewall - Emergency Maintenance Mar 19, 2024 18:00 - Mar 20, 2024 00:00 EDT
The perimeter firewall will be undergoing the required firmware/hotfix updates on Tuesday, Mar. 19 from 6:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. During this time, the Brandeis data network is expecting a minimum of intermittent data transmission delay outside of the Brandeis data network/Internet. Expect degraded service to streaming content, video, live stream, and large file transfer. ITS recommends deferring large file transfers or minimizing streaming application usage. Scheduled - ITS will be applying critical security patches as well as an upgrade of the software to the campus-wide printing technology (Papercut) on Thursday, Mar. 14 from 6:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. The team will be applying the upgrade of the Papercut application on all Ricoh Multifunction devices. During the upgrade, Papercut will not be available. Copy, Scan and Print functionality on all Ricoh MF devices will be unavailable. Any print jobs sent after 6:00 p.m. will not be processed or be available for release at a printer.
