Identified - 5/8 Update: ITS has identified the root cause of the issue impacting the global search function within LATTE. Specifically, when searching the entire site for a specific assignment activity, users may not find recent search results (from January onward). This issue affects searching for assignments by name, description, or attachments related to the assignment activity. ITS has prioritized addressing this issue in a timely manner and will post updates as they become available. Network - Urgent Maintenance May 28, 18:00-20:00 EDT
ITS will be applying a firmware upgrade for network switches in the following locations on Thurs., May 28 from 6-8 p.m. - 125 High Street, Bethlehem Chapel, Harlan Chapel, Boiler House, Chiller Plant, Wien Faculty Center, Gosman Athletics (basement substack), Lab Supplies, Information Booth, New Power Station, Meter House, Pollack. During this time, there will be intermittent internet access (wired and wireless) including Brandeis campus phones. The network outage is localized to the buildings noted. The areas impacted are Shapiro Campus Center and IBS. Print jobs sent to the queue will not be deleted and will be available for release after the upgrade is complete. Scheduled - ITS will be updating the Campus Card system in partnership with the vendor on Wednesday, May 20 from 8:00 a.m. EST to 8:00 PM EST. The upgrade will have minimal impact to campus services. The work includes updating the point-of-sale (POS) registers at dining locations that are open (Einstein's, Sherman) and the system for issuing ID Cards. The upgrade will affect the use of WhoCash for payment, student printing, and obtaining a new ID Card. There is no impact to cash and credit/debit card payments. This affects courses in LATTE that utilize forum postings, Quickmail messages and other notifications sent by email. The root cause of the issue has been identified and a fix is being developed.
